A joint venture with ITV PLC and Peel Holdings, Jenkins Design Services was engaged as Lead Consultant to transform the Public Realm area, linking the newly relocated Coronation Street Production Facility along Trafford Wharf Road with the foot bridge across to Media City UK. Working in association with SMLA, soft and hard landscaped areas developed with a community focus. Distinctive and co-ordinated approach in material selection reflecting the façades of the itv building with blended of brick paviours. Robust contemporary street furniture and canal side balustrade was adopted in-keeping with the heritage of the quayside. Although the main public realm works achieved its completion in 2013, seasonal seeding and planting will continue to flourish throughout the next twelve months under our supervision.
